“Difficulties increase the nearer we get to th goal” J.W. von Goethe

Self-sabotage: We want it so badly, are one step away from reaching our goal and then we fail. It’s a common phenomenon difficult to understand and to accept. One could say, it is just because of negative coincidences but if these kinds of events tend to repeat themselves over and over: it’s not just misfortune but a pattern boycotting the achievement of our set goal. These could be possible reasons: 1. It’s not the right time. 2. Unconsciously, we run away because our emotional inner world is not ready to cope with the achievement (no matter if it is love, work, travel), something inside us just wants to tell us that we are not ready to embrace the next step. 3. The way of approaching the goal is burdened with too much pressure and expectations, freedom to action and feelings are completely absent. 4. Is the desire for the goal authentic? Or is it a desire induced by others? If this is the case, then it’s a fortune. There is no worse misfortune than to fight and maybe reach what is not our authentic goal. Last but not least: Only when we identify, transform our blocking negative beliefs and become aware that we are capable of achieving the proposed goals, we will be able to overcome self-sabotage.
