Bad temper? It’s your footprint

There is no such thing as a good or bad character, there is only our uniqueness, which has no equal in the universe, just like a footprint. “What a bad temper you have!” That’s what we hear when we get angry. In reality, it is a defensive attitude, which is triggered especially if in the past we have accustomed to others too much, manifesting ourselves as compliant and submissive. However enough is enough, so at some point, we blurt it out, and right away the sentence: ‘What a bad temper!

It happens, however, that to please others, we often tend to hide our true character and, fearing external judgement, we simplify and impoverish it, we remove our rich spontaneity and assume a fixed mask: this is how the ‘good’ and the ‘bad’ are born.

But beware: what others do not like and what we would like to smooth out or correct is not wrong in itself, it is often just inconvenient. How often do we act spontaneously and then fall prey to guilt? We would be ready to do it again but we torment ourselves. This is a mistake: what made us act, in most cases, wants us to grow and mature.
